Youth Expression is a chat room open to the public 21 years of age and under to express their views on issues affecting them, their families and communities. The forum is available to exchange information and find support and resources.
The room is unbiased and will be monitored by supportive volunteers. If you are being abuse, have relationship issues, addicted to drugs, need sexual health and sexuality advise, or feeling misunderstood or alone in your situation and need assistance, you will have the ability speak with your peers in a safe environment and connect with those of similar experiences.
Scheduled discussion covering a variety of topics will be done on a monthly basis and monitored by professionals well versed on such topic. The topic, time and date will be posted in advance.
In the event you are more comfortable chatting with a particular user or monitor, you may schedule a private chat whereby only invited persons can enter.
For those who prefer to speak with one of our volunteers contact us via email at support@janshaven.com and write your topic or question in the subject line. Should you have suggestions on how to improve your community or have a program/idea that you feel should be implemented in order to enhance your quality of life please send it to info@janshaven.com

~ You must be no more than 21 years of age
~ You must respect the views and opinion of all users
~ Be supportive, understanding and encourage positive thinking
~ NO JUDGEMENT of others
~ NEVER give out any personal information (name, phone #’s, address, AIM etc.)
~ DO NOT post photos and advertisement in this forum
~ This is not a single’s meeting place and should not be used as such
~ DO NOT arrange to physically meet with anyone you chat with on this site
~ Use of inappropriate language and discussion are prohibited.
~ No Profanity, racism, offensive language or threatening comments allowed
~ NO ARGUING please agree to disagree
~ When entering the room always announce your presence
~ Everyone is encouraged to always acknowledge and welcome users when they first enter the room
~ Avoid flooding
~ When choosing nicknames avoid vulgar names
~ Use caps only for emphasis. Capital letters are considered shouting and rude
~ Remember that everyone you meet is a stranger and you should be cautious; you do not have to speak with anyone who you are uncomfortable with.
This room is monitored at all times to ensure that the effectiveness of the room is being met therefore anyone who ignores our guidelines will be blocked from future use. You are not anonymous to us - no chat is 100% private we can forward your files to your Internet provider and pinpoint your location.
